Conduct History - 2019

Conduct standings related to violations of the Appalachian State Organizational Code of Conduct (see https://orgsync.com/87895/files/1535159/show) by student organizations are listed below. This report is updated at least 45 days prior to the beginning of each fall and spring academic semester, and reflects standings for instances in which allegations of violations have been completely resolved.

Informal Resolution hearing after chapter self sanctioned. Found responsible for violation of University and National Social policies. Placed on social restriction through Spring 2019. Result: No events with alcohol may be hosted.

Found responsible for violations of the Organizational Code of Conduct during a Formal Hearing Process including Failure to Comply, Violation of Law, Violation of University, National, and Local Policies, Regulations and Rules. Result: Organizational Suspension originally issued has now been changed to removal of recognition due to concerns about a persistent pattern of concerning conduct during their suspension period. Chapter may petition to return as an expansion chapter in 2023.

Found responsible for violation of University and National social policies. Probation later extended due to failure to complete corrective action plan. Result: Probation extended through December 2019.

Found responsible for violations of the Organizational Code of Conduct during a Formal Hearing process including Failure to Comply, Violation of Law, and Violation of University, National, and Local Policies, Regulations, and Rules. Result: Organizational Suspension until October 2020.

Informal Resolution after chapter self sanctioned. Found responsible for violation of University and National Social policies. Placed on probation until a Membership Review is completed. Result: No events with alcohol may be hosted.
