Beth Holcomb
Beth Holcomb is the Director of Campus Activities.
A two-time graduate of Appalachian State University, Beth received her Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Management with a concentration in Outdoor Experiential Education, and her Master's Degree in College Student Development with a concentration in College Outdoor Program Administration. Beth's favorite part of her job is working with graduate students. When she's not in the office, you can find her hanging out with her partner and their dogs. Beth enjoys fishing, hiking, live music, gardening, practicing yoga, and watching movies.

Shaleeah Smith
Shaleeah is the Associate Director of Campus Activities and oversees Fraternity & Sorority Life at App, a community of 31 chapters and over 2,000 students. She directly advises PHC, IFC, MGC, and NPHC to help create a fraternity and sorority community that is safe, fun, relevant, and lasting. Her favorite part of the job is working with students and watching them grow as leaders. Outside of FSL Shaleeah is obsessed with her pets (three cats and one dog), pizza, Taylor Swift, and Beyonce.
Shaleeah holds a BA in French from Eastern Kentucky University, MA in Educational Leadership in Higher Education from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration through the University of Southern Mississippi.

Jesse Vinson
Jesse is the Associate Director of Campus Activities - Clubs & Organizations. He is a two time graduate of Appalachian State with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration. Prior to coming to Appalachian State University, Jesse worked in Student Involvement & Leadership at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS where he oversaw student clubs & organizations, along with non-traditional student services, and coordinated various student events.
Jesse is passionate about connecting with students, creating inclusive and welcoming spaces on campus through diverse events, and empowering others to find their voice and pursue their goals. He enjoys spending time with his partner (and their dogs, Dude & Willow), any outdoor activity, jamming to some tunes, consuming copious amounts of coffee, and traveling.

Jake Tidwell
Jake is the Assistant Director of Campus Activities for Student Programming and helps to advise the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS). He is currently the adviser for APPS Executive Council, Main Stage Council, and Spirit and Traditions Council. Jake's focus in serving as an advisor is empowering students to take ownership of their roles in the program planning and execution process.
Jake is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BS in Business Administration and Florida State University with a MS in Higher Education. When he is not in the office, you can often find Jake running around town and on the trails around the region, meticulously updating his Strava account, watching Avatar the Last Airbender again, or spending time with his partner and their two cats.

Katie Brooks
Katie is the Coordinator of Campus Activities for Student Programming and helps to advise the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS). She is currently the adviser for APPS Special Events and Appalachian Heritage Councils and the Summer Activities Team (SAT). Katies favorite part of the job is watching students discover their passions and getting the opportunity to integrate them into their APPS or SAT experience.
Katie is a two-time graduate of Appalachian State University having received a BS in Business Management with a minor in Sustainable Development and Experiential, Integrative Learning, and a MA in Student Affairs Administration. When not in the office, Katie enjoys spending time with family, reading a historical fiction novel, or exploring the outdoors while taking countless photos of flowers and critters.
