Conduct History - 2017

Conduct standings related to violations of the Appalachian State Organizational Code of Conduct (see https://orgsync.com/87895/files/1535159/show) by student organizations are listed below. This report is updated at least 45 days prior to the beginning of each fall and spring academic semester, and reflects standings for instances in which allegations of violations have been completely resolved.

Found responsible for violations of the Organizational Code of Conduct during a Formal Hearing process including Failure to Comply, Violation of Law, and Violation of University, National, and Local Policies, Regulations, and Rules. Result: Organizational Suspension until January 2018. University extended the period of suspension through December 2018 due to continued activity of the chapter during suspension. Chapter can petition for return in January of 2019.

The Interfraternity Council found Delta Chi for hosting an unregistered event on Bid Day which is in violation of NIC and Interfraternity Council policies. Result: Social restriction for one month.

Found responsible for violation of failing to comply to University Policies and the Fraternity and Sorority Life Social Policy. Result: Chapter was placed on social restriction for the 2017-2018 Academic Year and had to complete two educational programs.

Self sanctioned social probation for violation of the Fraternity and Sorority Life Social Policy in conjunction with the National Office. Result: Social probation placed through the fall semester and educational program requirements.

Placed on National probation for violation of Alpha Delta Pis Statements of Policy. Result: social probation through the spring semester of 2018 and educational programming.

Placed on National Probation and Corrective Action through May 2018. Result: No events with alcohol may be hosted and the chapter must complete a membership review, educational programming, and were assessed a per member fine.
