Conduct History - 2014

Conduct standings related to violations of the Appalachian State Organizational Code of Conduct (see https://orgsync.com/87895/files/1535159/show) by student organizations are listed below. This report is updated at least 45 days prior to the beginning of each fall and spring academic semester, and reflects standings for instances in which allegations of violations have been completely resolved.

Found responsible for violation of the FSL Code of Conduct and FSL Social Policy through the FSL Conduct Board – Unregistered event, communal alcohol, and underage drinking. Result: Social Restriction with educational programming.

Found responsible for violating national policy and FSL Social Policy by the national office – underage drinking, liquor present, and pre-gaming. Result: National Social Probation

Found in violation of misuse of university documents: forging, altering, or misusing University documents or records.
Found in violation of not adhering to guest list.
Found in violation of having a social event at on unauthorized venue. Result: Suspension

Found responsible for National and FSL Policy Violations while on Non-compliant 2 status with the University (4.12 in Fraternity and Sorority Life Code of Conduct) through joint investigation and collaborative information Resolution with National Office and FSL Office. – underage drinking, liquor present, unregistered event, and violation of social restriction policy. Result: Suspension

Found responsible for violation of the FSL Social Policy and FIPG through FSL Conduct Board – underage drinking, drinking games and liquor at a fraternity event. Result: Social Restriction for Spring 2014

Found responsible for violating the FSL Social Policy and FIPG through Informal Resolution Process – unreigered event with alcohol present and open event failing to adhere to a guest list. Chapter self-sanctioned. Result: Social Restriction and Education Programming

Found responsible for violation of the FSL Social Policy, FIPG, and National Policy through National Office investigation in conjunction with the University – drug seizure and failure to register property. Result: National Probation and Membership Review with drug testing

Found responsible for violation of the FSL Social Policy and Delta Chi national policy. Delta Chi Fraternity found the chapter at Appalachian in violation of the following: the chapter allowed minors to consume at an event, the chapter provided minors alcohol, the chapter had an open source of alcohol. Social Probation, educational program, and service initiatives

Found responsible for violation of FSL Social Policy and National Policy through joint investigation and collaborative Informal Resolution with National Office and FSL Office – vandalism, underage drinking, and unregistered pre-party. Result: National Social Probation with educational programming. University charges for Appalachian Panhellenic Hall damages and loss of privilege for Motor Pool.

Found responsible for violation of FSL Social Policy and National Policy through joint investigation and collaborative Informal Resolution with National Office and FSL Office – underage drinking, liquor present, and new member education violations. Result: National fines with probation terms and educational programming.
