Clarinda Choice


Assistant Director, Student Clubs & Organizations

Clarinda Choice is the Assistant Director of Campus Activities- Clubs & Organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Eckerd College and Master of Education in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the University of Florida. Prior to coming to Appalachian State University, Clarinda worked in Student Activities for five years at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL, where she coordinated various student and cultural events, including those related to Black History Month, LGBTQ+ Pride and Awareness, and Hispanic Heritage Month.
Clarinda is passionate about mentoring students, creating community among diverse populations, uplifting marginalized voices, and empowering others to pursue their goals and talents. She enjoys travel, being outside in nature, meditation, hanging out in coffee shops, and a good bite to eat.
