Conduct History - 2018

Conduct standings related to violations of the Appalachian State Organizational Code of Conduct (see https://orgsync.com/87895/files/1535159/show) by student organizations are listed below. This report is updated at least 45 days prior to the beginning of each fall and spring academic semester, and reflects standings for instances in which allegations of violations have been completely resolved.

Informal Resolution hearing after chapter self sanctioned. Found responsible for violation of University and National Social policies. Placed on social restriction through Spring 2019. Result: No events with alcohol may be hosted.

Placed on National Social Probation through October 1, 2018 for violation of the Kappa Alpha Order Risk Management Policies. Result: No events with alcohol may be hosted and the chapter must complete one chapter wide educational program to develop a risk management plan for future use.

Found responsible for violation of University and National social policies. Result: Placed on National Corrective Action Plan through December 2018.

Found responsible for violations of the Organizational Code of Conduct during a Formal Hearing process including Failure to Comply, Violation of Law, and Violation of University, National, and Local Policies, Regulations, and Rules. Result: Organizational Suspension until October 2020.

Informal Resolution after chapter self sanctioned. Found responsible for violation of University and National Social policies. Placed on probation until a Membership Review is completed. Result: No events with alcohol may be hosted.
