Dustin directs the overall efforts of the Office of Campus Activities and serves as part of the leadership team for the Department of Student Engagement & Leadership under which Campus Activities is housed.
Dustin Evatt has been at Appalachian for 4 years, most recently as the Associate Director for Campus Activities. Dustin provides leadership and supervision to the Campus Activities team including the areas of Campus Programming, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and Clubs & Organizations. He directly advises the APPS Executive Council and Chairs the University Homecoming Committee. He coordinates the INTERSECT Social Justice Retreat and oversess the Student Organization Code of Conduct. Dustin also teaches the Applied Leadership course as part of the Leadership Studies Minor.
At Winthrop University, Dustin received his Bachelor's of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication. He later studied at the University of Vermont where he received his Master's in Higher Education & Student Affairs. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Appalachian with research interests including critical leadership, social justice, and change.
Dustin loves working alongside students and colleagues to make positive change. Dustin loves working with students who dream big and use their talents and skills to make a difference on campus or in the community. When he's not at work, Dustin enjoys watching movies and exploring local restaurants and stores.
